Product - Arc

Stone Designs brings its third sound absorber to Blå Station. Arc is inspired by the arcades of the Colosseum in Rome and can be used in many vertical and horizontal configurations. The panels deflect irritating sound as the reliefs absorb soundwaves.

Infill - The Keret House

The Keret House was first conceived as a seemingly impossible vision of the Polish architect Jakub Szczesny, who first presented the idea as an artistic concept during the WolaArt festival in 2009. Three years later, the vision became a reality and drew a significant amount of international attention to the city of Warsaw. Built between two existing structures from two historical epochs, the narrow infill is more of an art installation that reacts to the past and present of Warsaw. Although the semi-transparent, windowless structure’s widest point measures only 122 centimeters, it’s naturally lit interior doesn’t seem nearly as claustrophobic as one would think.

Innovation - World’s Largest Wooden City

Swedish developers are getting ready to build the world’s largest wooden city, setting the stage for a possible domino effect of similar projects across the globe. Designed by architecture firms White Arkitekter and Henning Larsen, construction on "Stockholm Wood City" - which will feature a mix of workplaces, housing, restaurants and shops - is slated to begin in 2025 and will take a decade to complete.

Designer - Jean Prouvé

Jean Prouvé completed his training as a metal artisan before opening his own workshop in Nancy in 1924. In the following years he created numerous furniture designs, and in 1947 Prouvé established his own factory. He left his mark on architectural history in 1971, when he played a major role in selecting the design of Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers for the Centre Pompidou as chairman of the competition jury.

An allegorical tale meditates on architecture, art, music and history. Swiss-born architect Alexandre Schmidt (Fabrizio Rongione) is at a career peak, and professes his staunch belief in materialism and French secularism, but is clearly a desiccated man. Studying sociology and psychiatry has left his wife Aliénor (Chistelle Prod Landman) in a similar place professionally, but she seems less enervated emotionally, so when Alexandre proposes going to Italy to resume research on a book on the Baroque architect Francesco Borromini that he set aside years before, she asks to join him. The film embarks on a journey of rediscovery and overcoming anxiety.
