Modular - Substrate Factory

While not a modular project in the conventional prefabricated sense, the Substrate Factory located in Kanagawa, Japan utilizes movable partition walls to create modular spaces that adapt to the evolving demands and multiple uses of the local community. The building is constructed as an open frame structure to accommodate the building systems and allow their fine tuning and adaptability over the life of the building.
