Shoma Bazaar Opening Party

The Shoma Bazaar Food Hall located in Doral, Florida was conceived and designed during the pandemic, a period of social isolation that was fueled by intensive creativity and collaboration.

Finally, our dedication and commitment to design and craft was manifested last Thursday night, ignited by the launch of the Shoma Bazaar, where the Gypsy Kings and 1,500 other guests came out to unite and liberate the senses.

We wish all the success to the 14 vendors who have decided to join the bazaar and to the designers, contractors and development team that pursued the original vision with passion and vigor throughout the project.

Infill Project - Sunken House / Adjaye Associates

A three storey house in conservation area of De Beauvoir town in Hackney. The site has been excavated to basement level creating a sunken patio on which the house a partly prefabricated solid timber structure is placed.

All facades of the house as well as vertical and horizontal surfaces of the concrete patio are clad in timber rainscreen creating the impression of a continuous surface that embraces the enclosed and open spaces.

When a renowned architecture scholar falls suddenly ill during a speaking tour, his son Jin (John Cho) finds himself stranded in Columbus, Indiana - a small Midwestern city celebrated for its many significant modernist buildings. Jin strikes up a friendship with Casey (Haley Lu Richardson), a young architecture enthusiast who works at the local library. As their intimacy develops, Jin and Casey explore both the town and their conflicted emotions: Jin's estranged relationship with his father, and Casey's reluctance to leave Columbus and her mother.
