Situated in the heart of Tribeca, New York City, this expansive 2200 sq. ft. loft is located in a six-story boutique condominium building that was built in the 1920s. The client maintains a vast collection of art and artefacts and sought to showcase their collection within a luxurious updated residence.

The Architectural Review Covers Exhibition

Running through to November 05 is an exhibition in London celebrating the cover design of The Architectural Review magazine featuring a selection of 50 front covers chosen by designer Margaret Howell. Founded in 1896 as a magazine ‘for the artist, archaeologist, designer and craftsman’, the Architectural Review was, and continues to be, a hugely influential journal of record for a profession whose methods of exploring and communicating ideas are essentially graphic, through drawings, from sketches to construction details.

Watch - The Infinite Happiness

The Infinite Happiness is a highly unusual architectural experience. The film takes us to the heart of one of the contemporary housing developments considered to be a new model of success: the giant “8 House” designed in 2009 by Danish architects BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group in the suburbs of Copenhagen. The film builds up a collection of life stories all interconnected by their personal relation to the building. Drawing the lines of a human map, the film reveals the building through an inner and intimate point of view. By showing the surprising results of this innovative social model, the directors question the architecture’s ability to create collective happiness.
