Infill - Urban Infill House 1014

Located in the historical city centre of Granollers and placed into an urban fabric of dwellings between party walls, House 1014 by HARQUITECTES. The home exists as an infill project, inhabiting the space between the two party walls of the adjacent neighbors. The property is divided into two zones, one meant for the daily life of the client’s family and the other meant for quiet and privacy, serving as an auxiliary guest quarters separated from the other structure by an internal garden.

Designer Spotlight - Arik Levy

Designer, technician, artist, photographer and maker Arik Levy works on multidisciplinary projects. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. As a lamp designer for Vibia, Arik has created a series of collections which share a refined and sculptural approach to forms: as can be appreciated with the Wireflow and Rhythm hanging lamp collections, the Lighting toolkit Sticks or the Structural, Fold and Sparks wall lamps.

Innovation - ADU

Pull up to any intersection in Los Angeles, and you will see a column of illegally posted signs forming a kind of capitalist totem pole. Yet over the past couple of years, a more hopeful sign has joined the mix: “Free ADU Consultation.” The abbreviation needs no explanation in California, where accessory dwelling units have graduated from wonky planning jargon to popular parlance. Variously known as granny flats, mother-in-law units, or casitas, ADUs are small, additional rental units that share a lot with another structure—typically a single-family home.

Product - Bulthaup b2 Kitchen

Bulthaup b2 is inspired by the golden rule of craftsmanship: “Tools and materials must always be kept tidy and close at hand.” This unique organizational principle turns kitchens into workshops with an abundance of freedom to move around. bulthaup b2 reduces the kitchen to three sculptural elements: The kitchen tool cabinet, the workbench and the kitchen appliance cabinet. Liberated from static walls, these timeless objects can be combined at will in the room. The flexibility and mobility of these elements means that bulthaup b2 can also adapt to new spatial circumstances.

Watch - Playtime (1967)

In this 1967 film directed by Jacques Tati, Clumsy Monsieur Hulot finds himself perplexed by the complexity of a gadget-filled Paris. He attempts to meet with a business contact but soon becomes lost. His roundabout journey parallels that of American tourist Barbara, and as they weave through the urban environment, they intermittently meet.
